ABOUT EWGA-CANADA
EWGA-Canada Brochure
The Executive Women’s Golf Association (EWGA), a
not-for-profit organization, was founded in the U.S. in
1991 to provide opportunities for women to learn, play and
enjoy the game of golf. Sandra Post, a Canadian Golf Hall
of Fame member, and Cheryl Bailey brought the EWGA to Canada
in 1998. The EWGA now has over 19,000 members worldwide
and over 120 chapters.
In 2008, the Canadian Chapters, along with France, formed
the international division. And EWGA-Canada was mandated
to promote the organization throughout the country.
EWGA Chapter activities typically include:
• annual “kick-off”
and closing events
• weekly “after work” member course
or league play
• weekend and weekday golf outings
• seminars on rules, etiquette, and handicap system
• business networking and social functions
• mentoring programs
• player development clinics for all levels
• a chapter championship for all flights (the qualifying
event in the EWGA Championship)
• a charity fundraising event
