other EWGA benefits.
Q. What are the other benefits?

you will have access to. . .

Q. Do I have to have a handicap to belong
to EWGA-Canada?
A. No. Some of our members just want to
play for fun. However, having a handicap permits you to
play in our tournaments. In addition, a handicap helps you
to track and to improve your playing ability.
If you wish to obtain a handicap, it’s quite simple.
After a game, enter your score into the EWGA National Golf Network (NGN). Once you have entered 10 games, you’ll
receive your handicap. Keep entering scores all season and
watch your handicap change.
Remember our tournaments are for all flights – from
the high handicapper (40) to the scratch golfer.
Q. I have an RCGA handicap? Can I use
that instead of the NGN handicap to enter EWGA tournaments.
A. Definitely.
Q. I am just learning to golf. Will
EWGA work for me?
A. Yes. We arrange clinics to improve your
game and offer seminars on rules and handicapping. We also offer
a mentoring program that assigns you a partner to work with
you on your first few outings. Your mentor will assist you
in learning the etiquette of golf and introduce you to other
members.
If you really want to improve your game, we’ll help
you do it.
Q. I am not an executive. Can I join
EWGA?
A. Of course. Our mission is to provide
opportunities for women to learn, play and enjoy the game
of golf for business and for fun. Our members include executives,
office professionals, students and retired women.
Q. What about me? There are no EWGA chapters
in my area.
A. We have additional categories of
EWGA-Canada memberships: Eagles and Wings. An Eagle membership
is for a woman who — because of her geographical location
— does not have access to a Chapter or a Wing.
A Wing is a Chapter in the making. Eagles
and Wing members receive most of the same benefits as Chapter
members. For more information, please visit
