Want to reach women who are influencers in purchasing decisions in their homes and workplaces?

A sponsorship with EWGA-Canada is your next wise investment!

The Executive Women’s Golf Association (EWGA), founded in 1991, is an international, volunteer driven, not-for-profit organization that exists to provide opportunities for women to learn, play and enjoy the game of golf for business and for life.

The primary role of EWGA-Canada is to encourage and support the growth of Chapters across Canada. EWGA-Canada liaises between the existing Canadian Chapters-Greater Toronto Area Chapter; Waterloo Region Chapter and our newest York-Simcoe (Newmarket) Chapter. 2012 Canadian membership is approximately 400 members and growing. It is our mission to provide a foundation for personal golf improvement and member growth. We are not just another weekly golf league – we provide learning opportunities, mentoring, camaraderie and sportsmanship.

WOMEN GOLFERS – the target market

Today, women’s careers are taking them to both the back nine and the boardroom. EWGA encourages professional women to learn golf as a tool for enhancing business relationships. EWGA has become both a networking opportunity for business women as well as an excellent marketing opportunity for corporations targeting professionals and business decision-makers.

$75 million was spent by EWGA members on golf fees, merchandise, equipment, food and beverage, and golf related travel in 2008. This breaks down to an average spending per member of $4,300 annually. (US member statistics based on 20,000 members - EWGA.com)

In Canada (member survey 2009)

  • 82.5% of members are between the ages of 36 and 55
  • 94% work full-time and 61% of these are either business owners, senior management or executive, or in professional or technical professions
  • The average single income is over $70,000
  • 35% have an annual personal income in excess of $100,000

Women account for over 85% of consumer spending decisions* and in the business arena, their impact on key purchasing decisions is significant, in particular amongst the EWGA-Canada membership, which has 61% in executive decision-making positions.
